By using 明命｜MING (“MING”, “we”) at mingming.life you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is honest about what it is — please actually read them.

What MING is

MING is a life-navigation companion built on classical Chinese method (八字). From your birth details it derives a chart and offers recognition: dispositional readings of your nature, your season, and what a day favours. It is a lens for reflection and orientation.

What MING is not

Recognition, not prediction. MING does not foretell events, and nothing in it is a promise about outcomes. It is not — and must not be relied on as — medical, mental-health, financial, legal, or any other professional advice. For decisions in those areas, consult a qualified professional. Every decision you make remains yours.

Replies in Ask 明命 are written by an AI from the facts of your chart. They are for reflection, they can be wrong, and they are not advice of any kind.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use MING.
Sign-in is passwordless (magic link or Google). Keep access to your email secure — it is the key to your account.
Give birth details honestly and only your own, or those of someone who has asked you to.

Your content

The reflections you write are yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store and show them back to you as part of the service. We do not publish them, train models on them, or share them.

Our content

The service — its readings, writing, design, marks (明命｜MING, the 明 mark, the 朱印 seal), and code — belongs to us. Your reading is generated for your personal, non-commercial use; you are welcome to keep and share your own reading, not to resell or republish the service.

Fair use

Do not probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to break the service, or use it to harm, harass, or deceive anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service will evolve

MING is early and growing — surfaces will change, deepen, and occasionally pause. We welcome feedback and suggestions at ming@mingming.life — they genuinely shape what comes next. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid MING in the twelve months before the claim.

Payments

Most of MING is free with your account. What is paid is each year’s Yearly Insights guide (流年书), sold as a one-time purchase. The 2027 guide is SGD $88, a special launch price, and includes Ask 明命 from the day you buy it — up to 50 answers a month until 4 February 2028. From the 2028 guide, each year’s guide is SGD $128. You may also buy a guide for a family member or friend from their birth details: it is a separate product at SGD $68, it is the guide only (Ask 明命 stays with your own account), it is kept on your account and you pass it on yourself. Prices are shown before you pay; nothing renews or charges you again. Payments are processed by Stripe: your card details go to Stripe and never reach MING.

No refunds

A guide is personal and made from a chart the moment it is opened — yours, or the chart of the person you bought it for — so every purchase is final and is not refunded, including the Ask access that comes with your own guide. Before you buy a guide for someone else you confirm their name and time of birth; after that they cannot be edited on the site, and a correction is made by writing to us. If you were charged by mistake (twice, or the wrong amount), or a guide you paid for cannot be opened and we cannot fix it, write to ming@mingming.life and we will refund it. This does not affect any rights you have under the law.

Ending things

You may stop using MING and ask us to delete your data at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If we change them materially, we will note it here with a new effective date.
