Terms of Service
What we each agree to.
Effective 19 July 2026 · mingming.life
By using 明命|MING (“MING”, “we”) at mingming.life you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is honest about what it is — please actually read them.
What MING is
MING is a life-navigation companion built on classical Chinese method (八字). From your birth details it derives a chart and offers recognition: dispositional readings of your nature, your season, and what a day favours. It is a lens for reflection and orientation.
What MING is not
Recognition, not prediction. MING does not foretell events, and nothing in it is a promise about outcomes. It is not — and must not be relied on as — medical, mental-health, financial, legal, or any other professional advice. For decisions in those areas, consult a qualified professional. Every decision you make remains yours.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use MING.
- Sign-in is passwordless (magic link or Google). Keep access to your email secure — it is the key to your account.
- Give birth details honestly and only your own, or those of someone who has asked you to.
Your content
The reflections you write are yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store and show them back to you as part of the service. We do not publish them, train models on them, or share them.
Our content
The service — its readings, writing, design, marks (明命|MING, the 明 mark, the 朱印 seal), and code — belongs to us. Your reading is generated for your personal, non-commercial use; you are welcome to keep and share your own reading, not to resell or republish the service.
Fair use
Do not probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to break the service, or use it to harm, harass, or deceive anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.
The service will evolve
MING is early and growing — surfaces will change, deepen, and occasionally pause. We welcome feedback and suggestions at ming@mingming.life — they genuinely shape what comes next. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us to use MING (currently: nothing).
Free, for now
MING is currently free to use. If we ever introduce paid features, we will say so clearly before you are asked to pay for anything — nothing will quietly start charging you.
Ending things
You may stop using MING and ask us to delete your data at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If we change them materially, we will note it here with a new effective date.
